Near Miss	An event where there was no personal injury or illness or environmental impacts but where there was the potential for injury or deviation or risk of non-compliance. Other minor damage to property or the environment may have taken place. Walk	During the walk environment or/and safe working practices are observed and discussed with those employees carrying out the work. Results of the walk are feedback on safe ways of working, improvement proposals and further actions. Walks can be conducted against all categories (Health & Safety, Environment, Process Safety, Security, Product Safety).
Discussion	Discussions are two way communications between line supervisors and managers with subordinates. Purpose is to share information and raise discussion e.g. on: Raise awareness among staff Raise concerns and discuss them Share good/best practices and learnings Learn from each other from site to site and department to department Discussions can be lead against all categories (Health & Safety, Environment, Process Safety, Security, Product Safety).
Accident / Deviation	Accident/deviation is an undesirable happening that occurs unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically results in harm, injury, damage or loss.
